Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal

The staff were efficient, competent and friendly. We enjoyed a spacious, clean and well appointed suite, with plenty of comfortable seating. The restaurant was excellent, with magnificent views over Luxembourg. Breakfast was well organised, quiet and relaxing. This is a very good hotel.

I liked everything about this property! First of all the staff. They were all so pleasant, polite and welcoming. Nothing was ever any trouble; I never felt like a bother to them with anything - and I made one or two unusual requests! lol They treated me with so much respect and courtesy and they were always actually happy to help! The property is perfect - modern, clean, secure, above and beyond! I like that you have to use your key card to access the elevator (and the concierge is right there waiting to show you how!), and also that there is a safe in the room. The location is right between the train station and the city centre/old town. About a 10-minute walk to each. Very simple and easy. I received an upgrade and had a room with a great view of the city! The concierge is always happy to give you any information and recommendations you’d like. Check-in was on the earlier side and check-out on the later side, when compared to most places, which was nice. There is also possibility of late checkout if it isn’t too busy. In any case, they have a secure, locked room to store your luggage at no extra cost while you explore the city. That’s a great feature for me! I would definitely stay here again!

Well located hotel with gorgeous views over the city. Like everywhere in Luxembourg, the hotel itself was on the expensive side with cocktails at 25 euros and a cup of tea 9 euro. We were upgraded to a room with a view on arrival which was nicely laid out, with all amenities you would want. V clean. Breakfast offered a good selection of cold choices, a little limited on hot, but all were good quality and tasty.

Everything was nice. Indeed perfect view for old town, 5-7 min walk distance to downtown,very clean. So good 5 star service. Restaurant in the 8th floor very calm and cozy either for the breakfast or for the dinner. The only thing I missed, it was an information about how and where to park I found out it in advance myself. There are big underground extrapaied parking “Indigo” (Approx 30 € /per 1 day) And also you can leave your car key in the reception and they will park your car them self. But would be nice to know about this parking option in advance before you arrive there. However, that was definitely great hotel choice!

The hotel was beautiful. We had a luxury double room with a view of the old town. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The hotel staff were really welcoming and helpful. It is in a great location to get to the old town and the city. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend.
